Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project are deliberately locked to a trained planning function. An untrained edit to predecessor/successor logic can corrupt the critical path across an entire programme, so access stays narrow. The same design choice that protects the schedule also cuts it off from the people who see problems first.
Manages the schedule — assumes information already reached the planner.
Optimises sequencing once the schedule is current — doesn't solve how it becomes current.
Records financial and procurement transactions in its own silo.
Visualises whatever data it's given — after the fact.
Adds stand-ups and tracking overhead on top of the same siloed departments.
Reads the signal where it already lives and routes it to the schedule — the layer that was missing.
